Case ReportĪ 29-year-old male was referred to us with complaints of diminution of vision in the right eye for the past 4 months after having undergone LASIK with a 90 μ Moria-microkeratome head (Moria, Antony, France). In this case report, we describe the use of TCAT as a secondary procedure to improve refractive outcomes after intraoperative flap loss. The use of topography-guided treatment in the management of irregular astigmatism associated with flap loss has not been described in literature so far. Topography - Guided Custom Ablation Treatment ( TCAT) has been used to correct irregular astigmatism in highly aberrated and irregular corneas associated with keratoconus and post-LASIK ectasia. The accompanying irregular astigmatism is difficult to manage and leads to poor visual acuity and quality. Flap loss is potentially devastating and can lead to haze formation and irregular epithelial growth. Although flap-related complications such as partial flap, thin/irregular flap, buttonholing, and free cap are uncommon with an incidence ranging from 0.3% to 10%, they can adversely affect outcomes. Using a lamellar flap, LASIK provides faster visual recovery and comparatively less pain than photorefractive keratectomy. As a teacher, it helps fit handwriting into the school day so much easier! ITrace doesn’t simply provide letters for kids to trace. This app would be great for those children who do not typically enjoy writing, as it seems more like a game and they are using their finger (or try a fun stylus!) rather than using a traditional writing utensil. Fun rewards include seek-and-finds and cute animated scenes. Detailed progress reports include images of each tracing and assessments, such as "too shaky," "out of bounds," and "overextended." Each letter includes a default version and alternate version (including left hand) for different handwriting style preferences. A realistic hand holding a pencil shows kids where to trace on the model letter or number, and it erases incorrect tracing back to the previous step.
